Our Man in Havana

A brand new adaptation of Graham Greene’s bestselling novel brings his satirical masterpiece brilliantly to life. Directed by the award - winning director Richard Baron (original director of the inspired spoof production, The 39 Steps) this riotous production is a masterly parody of the spying game, delivered with highoctane wit, verve and energy. Our Man in Havana is the tale of the hapless Wormwold, a vacuum cleaner salesman based in Cuba, who allows himself to be recruited into the UK secret service. Desperate to placate Whitehall, he resorts to lies and fabrications, feeding a series of highly ingenious plots and conspiracies to his handlers.

However, when reality starts to mirror his creative stories, Wormwold - our man in the linen suit and the dark shades - finds himself in a disastrous spot of bother. Our Man in Havana stars four stalwarts of the British stage and screen. Simon Shepherd stars as Wormwold, the character made famous by Alec Guinness in the 1959 movie. He is joined by Philip Franks (Heartbeat), Norman Pace (Hale & Pace) and Beth Cordingly (The Bill).
